Decanters: Circular

Radial

A surface and bottom scraper have the objective of removing all existing floating materials or scums at the liquids surface, as well as the muds accumulated in the bottom of the decanter. This operation is performed with a slow axial movement of the scraping bridge. The clarified effluent is now driven to the periphery of the decanter, going under a deflector, discharging then to a peripheral concrete gutter threw a peripheral discharger. The radial decanter bridge has the same length than the decanter tank radius.

Diametrical

The decanter bridge has the same length than the decanter tank diameter.

Suction

Decanter bridge where the mud removal is accomplished by suction in the inferior central area. The bridges can be circular, radial, diametrical or ¾ …

The equipment is composed by the following main parts: walkway, activating engine, floculating panels, elements of sweepers, relievers and deflectors.

Central

Decanter bridge where the activation of the bridge is accomplished by central activation. The conductor engine and gear motor are in the bridges central area. In the conventional traction systems, the rotational activation systems are located in the peripheral area of the bridge, travelling the concrete structure of the decanter.
